Terms of Service

EFFECTIVE 18 AUGUST 2026

These terms govern your use of SPECTRUM, a news-aggregation service that collects publicly available headlines and links you to the original articles on third-party publishers' websites. By using SPECTRUM you agree to these terms.

What SPECTRUM is

SPECTRUM organizes headlines into Liberal, Centrist, and Conservative digests. That grouping is produced automatically from each outlet's editorial lean and is a navigational convenience, not an endorsement, a political statement, or a claim about the accuracy or slant of any individual article. A story may appear under more than one side. We do not write the articles and do not control their content.

Third-party content and links

No warranty

SPECTRUM is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that headlines are current or correct, that classifications are accurate, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, including by attempting to disrupt it, bypass technical limits, scrape it at abusive volume, or use it for unlawful purposes.

Intellectual property

The SPECTRUM name, layout, and original interface elements are the property of the operator. Preferences you set are stored in your own browser and remain yours. Nothing here transfers rights to the third-party content SPECTRUM links to.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service or any linked third-party content.

Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms; the effective date above will be updated.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The specific jurisdiction should be set by the operator of your deployment.

Contact

Questions about these terms can be directed to the operator of your SPECTRUM deployment.
